Caddie Code of Conduct

CaddieNow requires all caddies to follow the guidelines and rules described within this manual. If performance is poor or club policies and rules are not followed, the company’s management will follow the normal course of corrective action, which may include caddie disciplinary action up to and including termination

Grounds for Dismissal /Removal from the CaddieNow Platform

Solicitation - CaddieNow prohibits all forms of solicitation while on club property. This includes the solicitation of funds from members, guests, other caddies or staff.

No Show - Not showing for a booked loop without calling CaddieNow, Caddie Service Manager and/or club to notify them.

Last Minute Cancellations - Cancelling multiple booked loops within 24hrs of the scheduled tee time.

Dress Code - Repeated violations of CaddieNow or Club dress code requirements for caddies.

Communications with Club Members or Guests – Caddies should not directly communicate via phone call, text, or email with a Golfer or Member of a CaddieNow Partner Club re: anything related to your CaddieNow loops, payments, or services you provide while using the CaddieNow platform.

Drug or Alcohol Abuse - The unauthorized use, sale, or transportation of alcohol or illegal drugs or the improper use of prescription medicines. Reporting onto the club’s property under the apparent influence of an intoxicant, drug or narcotic.

Confidentiality - Violating your confidentiality agreement with CaddieNow which includes sharing any information or knowledge of a golfer you caddie for via the CaddieNow platform.

Destruction or defacing of club property, facilities and/or equipment.

Tampering with or breaching CaddieNow or Club security systems or policies.

Removing a fellow caddie’s personal possessions or CaddieNow inventory, equipment or supplies from the premises without permission.

Being convicted of a felony.

Jeopardizing the safety of members, guests, caddies and staff.

Fighting or possessing a weapon on club property.

Refusal to follow the work-related directions of CaddieNow or Club staff

Establishing a Safe Work Environment

  1. Harassment - CaddieNow will not tolerate harassment of club staff, guests, members, or other caddies in any form.

  2. Vandalism - Vandalism of any kind will result in immediate suspension or dismissal by the course or removal from the CaddieNow platform.

  3. Smoking - Caddies are not allowed to smoke while on the golf club property. Caddies who do, will be asked to leave the club property immediately.

  4. Drugs and Alcohol - CaddieNow strives to provide a safe work environment and encourages personal health. In this regard CaddieNow considers the abuse of drugs and alcohol on the job to be an unsafe and counterproductive work practice. Any caddie that reports to work and is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or an illegal or controlled substance may be subject to drug and/or alcohol testing. Any caddie suspected to be in possession of, using, selling, trading, or offering for sale illegal or controlled substances or alcohol during club open hours may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Confidentiality

During a loop, you may overhear or be included in private conversations between golfers. Accordingly, in addition to and accordance with the confidentiality obligations contained in your agreement with CaddieNow, you are strictly prohibited from using, appropriating, or disclosing to any third party, directly or indirectly, non-public personally identifiable information regarding any golfer, as well as any information that may be shared by or between golfers before, during, or after your loop.


Playing Privileges

Caddies must not abuse the benefit provided by some clubs that allow caddies to play golf on property during designated days and/or times. Caddies are not allowed to play golf by themselves, with other members, or other caddies without expressed consent (for each round of golf) of CaddieNow, an onsite Club Staff member, or Caddie Service Manager. Note: a member asking a caddie to play golf is NOT considered approved unless one of the authorities above is also notified and provides approval. Caddies will be removed from the CaddieNow platform and club property if they violate any club or CaddieNow policy while playing golf at a CaddieNow partner club during designated caddie play days, including playing under the influence of drugs or alcohol.


Restricted Areas

Caddies are to stay within designated caddie areas at ALL times, unless being instructed by the golf course staff otherwise. Other restricted areas include the Golf shop, Pro Shop, Halfway Houses, Clubhouse, and Parking Lot (unless being picked up). Clubs do not allow caddies to wander around the golf course or club grounds. Caddies are not allowed to take complimentary golfer snacks placed on the course or in the clubhouse but are welcome to bottled water.
